Gleðileg stemning ríkti á Völlum á mánudaginn þegar foreldrafélagið bauð nemendum upp á skemmtilega brúðusýningu af ævintýrinu um Pétur og úlfinn. Allir fylgdust heillaðir með þegar sagan um hugrakka strákinn Pétur og ævintýri hans með dýrunum í garðinum lifnaði við fyrir framan augu þeirra.
Bernd Ogrodnik náði einstaklega vel að fanga athygli nemendanna með lifandi túlkun sinni á þessu sígilda ævintýri.
Það var augljóst að mikil vinna hafði verið lögð í handvirk smáatriði brúðanna og leikmyndarinnar. Foreldrafélagið á skilið mikið hrós frá bæði starfsfólki skólans og nemendum fyrir þetta frábæra framtak.
Þetta var sannarlega vel heppnuð stund sem mun án efa lifa lengi í minningunni hjá nemendum skólans.

A joyful atmosphere prevailed at Vellir on Monday when the Parents' Association treated students to a delightful puppet show of the tale of Peter and the Wolf. Everyone watched, enchanted, as the story of the brave boy Peter and his adventures with the animals in the garden came to life before their eyes.
Bernd Ogrodnik managed exceptionally well to capture the students' attention with his lively interpretation of this classic tale.
It was obvious that great effort had been put into the handcrafted details of the puppets and the stage design. The Parents' Association deserves much praise from both the school staff and students for this wonderful initiative.
This was truly a successful event that will undoubtedly live long in the memory of the students.
